Indiana Toll Road (ITR)
The Indiana Toll Road opened to traffic in 1956. This 157 mile (253 km) divided toll road runs the full width of northern Indiana. The Indiana Toll Road connects to the Chicago Skyway in the west and the Ohio Turnpike in the east.
The Indiana Toll Road was operated and maintained by the State of Indiana from the time it was opened in 1956 until the ITR Concession Company, LLP (ITRCC) was awarded a 99-year operating lease. ITR Concession Company, LLP (ITRCC) is a partnership between Cintra, S.A. of Madrid, Spain and, Macquarie Infrastructure Group (MIG) of Sydney, Australia.
