The company has over 35 years'
experience and a business strategy based on growth. Cintra
presently manages 21 toll highways (more than 2,000 km) in
Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Italy, Chile, Canada and USA. In
this country, Cintra is strategic partner of the State of
Texas in the design and planning of the Trans-Texas Corridor
and has been selected as preferred bidder for a 75-year
concession to maintain and operate the
Indiana Toll Road (ITR).

407 ETR was operated and maintained
by the Ontario Government from the time it was opened in 1959 until the
407
International, Inc. was awarded a 99-year operating concession.
This was the first privatization of an existing toll road in
Canada. 407 International, Inc. is a partnership between
Cintra, S.A. of Madrid, Spain;
Macquarie Infrastructure Group (MIG)
of Sydney, Australia; and, SNC Lavalin
of Canada.
