This is the corner of the dining room where the new heating stove will be installed.  The grandfather clock has already been moved to the other side of the room, near the windows.  You can see that there is a gas jet on the floor near the wall and chimney flue pipe inlet above.  This must have been the same location for heat in the past.  (09.04.02)

Here it is!  It takes two men to lift the stove off the back of the propane company service truck.  (09.04.02)

Most of the stove was assembled at the propane company shop.  Here is a photograph of the stove set into place without the top grills.  The white wire is for the thermostat that will be mounted to the wall to the left of the French doors.  (09.04.02)

Getting closer.  The gas has been connected and the thermostat wired.  Interestingly, no external electricity is required, it generates its own from the pilot light heat.  We could have a wireless remote control, but that's just silly.  (09.04.02)

And presto, it works!  No vent required.  (09.04.02)

There are three different burners, of different size and position to replicate burning logs.  The ceramic stove logs even glow when hot and look pretty realistic.  The flame size is adjustable and will turn itself on and off to maintain the temperature set on the thermostat.  (09.04.02)

We may consider adding a decorative black stove pipe from behind the stove to the flue inlet above.  The output from this heater is enough for our whole house (30,000 Btu)  (09.04.02)

And here's the new home for the grandfather clock.  (09.04.02)
