This is a vintage British Vincent motorcycle. The round tag
in the window attached to the side of the headlamp is January 1967 'bicycle'

Vincent Motorcycle
This is a circa 1950 model Vincent, considered by many as the
fastest production motorcycle of it's time. There are two caps on top of the
fuel tank. The left cap is the fuel fill, the center cap is the oil reservoir.

David believes that this is a 1950, '52 or '53 model Vincent
and that the "H-R-D" logo painted on the fuel tank would not have been on this
motorcycle when new. In 1950 Vincent discontinued use of HRD because of
confusion with the American Motorcycle maker Harley-Davidson. (05.15.04)

On pre-1950 models HRD appeared on the crankcase cover where
"Vincent" appears on this motorcycle. (05.15.04)
