Tabitha's two kittens.  The black kitten remains unnamed while the black and white has had its name shortened from Godzilla to just Zilla.  (05.23.03)

We didn't get the propane tank for our siren back from the shop in time for the holiday weekend.  The original 1968 tank is being recertified, getting a new gauge and having the leaky valve replaced.  This tank is a loaner that Fayetteville Propane dropped off at the farm for us to use until we get our tank back.  (05.24.03)

Here it goes!  This is the second time David has started the air raid siren.  The first time was yesterday and we didn't get any pictures.  The farm truck is used to jump start the V-8 Hemi engine.  You can see the exhaust shooting straight up as David reaches in and advances the throttle.  The siren was recorded both days with mixed success.  (05.24.03)

Whoa!  Look at that cloud of dirty brown smoke blasting from the siren horns!  After only two revs, with each producing this cloud, David shut down the siren having only hit about 3000 RPM over the 60 second run.  It had been hoped that we could go full throttle and hit 4600 RPM today.  Maybe tomorrow.  (05.24.03)

The second day's run was complete at about 8:45pm.  David's very pleased to hear the siren roar.  Linda on the other hand is intimidated by the monster machine.  The engine alone is a bit scary.  It's very loud.  And then there's the siren belching brown clouds like the whole thing is about explode like a bomb.  (05.24.03)
