 SIRENS

Chrysler Air Raid Siren

After several weeks of negotiation David has purchased this Chrysler Air Raid Siren that protected the City of Pittsburgh in the mid-1950's.  You might wonder why?  The story will unfold this summer, but in the meantime David is rounding up investors to fully restore this amazing piece of history.

Specifications:
This mechanical siren rotates at 4,800 RPM with a 40-inch blower pushing 2,610 CFM into six projectors that emit sound at 138 decibels measured at 100 feet.  The CARS is powered by a 331 cubic-inch, 180-HP, Chrysler V8 Hemi gasoline engine.  The entire 11 foot long, 5 foot tall, and 5 foot wide unit rotates on a power driven turntable.  Weight, 5,700 lbs.
