Chrysler Air Raid Siren

After several weeks of negotiation David has purchased this Chrysler Air Raid Siren that protected the City of Pittsburgh in the mid-1950's.  You might wonder why?  The story will unfold this summer, but in the meantime David is rounding up investors to fully restore this amazing piece of history.  (02.03)

ON GUARD
"Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty" . . . Thomas Jefferson said in 1790.  And today, more than ever, free Americans know the truth of his warning.  In vigilant communities, from coast to coast, great Chrysler Sirens stand ready, as important [?] in our Civil Defense.  They are products of the Marine and Industrial Division of the Chrysler Engine Division of the Chrysler Corporation of Trenton, Michigan.  (07.1953)

You don't use 1,000 wheelbarrows to do the work of a 3-ton truck . . . nor do you install 120 warning devices to do the work of just one CHRYSLER SIREN.  (09.1953)

"BIG JOE" CAN BLAST A HOLE THROUGH A FOG! . . . It's the air raid siren that's guarding Pearl Harbor and hundreds of American towns and cities . . . and it's got the loudest mechanical voice in the world today.  It can actually start fires with its tremendous vibrations! . . . "Where does Big Joe's power come from? . . . I'll tell you! . . . From the same engint that used to hide under the hood of a Chrysler . . . the very engine that's helping to push thousands of General Sherman tanks toward Berlin and Tokio!"  (1942)
