to sell Mercury Air Centers to Macquarie for 427 mln usd

LONDON (Thomson
Financial) - Allied Capital Corp said it
has agreed to sell its majority equity interest
in Mercury Air Centers to
Macquarie
Infrastructure Co for around 427 mln usd.
The
Washington, DC-based investment firm said it
expects to realise a gain on the equity of
approximately 240 mln usd from the sale.
The transaction is expected to close in the
third quarter of 2007.
Allied Capital said Mercury Air Centers provides
general aviation services -- including fuel
sales, into-plane services, ground support
services, aircraft hangar and tie-down
facilities -- to private, commercial and
military aircraft at 24 locations at 22 airports
in the US.
