Members of the House and Senate filed
legislation Tuesday that would put a
moratorium on the Trans Texas Corridor.
The legislation would be a major
rebuke of Gov. Rick Perry’s
transportation policy.
One Senate source said the
legislation on that side of the Capitol
has the signature of 25 of the 30
senators.
The House legislation was filed by
Rep. Lois Kolkhorst, R-Brenham.
“We think there are serious and
significant issues with the Trans Texas
Corridor process and have serious
questions with regard to the
privatization of roadways in Texas,”
said Rep. Dan Gattis, R-Georgetown.
