February 03, 2004
Oil Online
Although the state of the oil and gas industry is
strong, Texas Railroad Commission Chairman Victor Carrillo said
there is urgency in planning and preparing for the future.
Speaking at the 54th Annual State of the Oil and Gas Industry
meeting in Austin, Carrillo said the common goal should be to
maintain and even expand the prominence of the domestic energy
sector. Gov. Rick Perry suggested Texas energy companies
strengthen ties with Mexico as the country seeks way to offer
more opportunities for foreign investors.
