Texas Officials Prepare for Corridor Project

Jun. 27--AUSTIN, Texas -- A proposal to build a toll road and a high-speed rail line to relieve Interstate 35 congestion between the Metroplex and San Antonio could be unveiled within weeks, a transportation commission member said.

The Texas Transportation Commission plans to meet today to formally adopt ground rules for the Trans Texas Corridor, which Gov. Rick Perry presented in January as the answer to gridlock on the state's highways and rail lines.
