From Company Website:
Indra is
the leading Spanish Information
Technologies and Defense Systems
company, with revenues of 1,385 M€ (
aggregate revenues as per IFRS) at 2005.
A solid technology base, permanent
innovation, quality in processes and
results, demanding management and the
high degree of qualification of more
than 19,500 professionals that work for
the company are the pillars sustaining
Indra’s success.
Indra is organised around three business
areas: Information Technologies,
Simulation and Automatic Test Systems,
and Defence Electronic Equipment. Over
the years we have gained comprehensive
insight into each business and crafted
solid relationships with customers. This
knowledge, coupled with
latest-generation technology, allows
Indra to create unique in-house
solutions and services for each market
segment.
Indra provides its clients with an offer
that is both complete and of value which
ranges from consultancy, project
development, and systems and
applications integration to outsourcing
of IT systems and business processes.
This offer is structured into two
primary segments: Solutions and
Services.
The offer in Solutions
includes a wide range of systems,
applications, and components for
obtaining, processing, transferring, and
subsequently presenting, data and
information, which are basically aimed
at controlling and managing complex
and/or critical processes. In general,
Indra solutions serve the core of the
business operation of our clients, and
require as an essential capability the
integration of systems, i.e. the design,
configuration, development, and
implementation of complete components,
applications, and IT systems, featuring
our own and third-party products.
Through the Services on offer, Indra
manages and operates systems and
solutions (Outsourcing, AM, Maintenance,
etc...), as well as certain business
processes where technology is a
strategic and differentiating
element (BPO). We provide this service
as a technology partner so as to build
tight links with our customers in which
outsourcing is linked in with business
evolution, and objectives, risks and
rewards are shared.
Indra has become an outstanding
reference on the markets on which it
operates, both nationally and
internationally. With references in more
than 80 countries on the five
continents, approximately a third of the
company’s annual revenues come from the
international markets.
The following are among Indra’s main
references:

A third of the world’s air
traffic is managed by countries that
use systems developed by Indra for
air traffic management.
-
Some of the world’s main
underground railway systems, such as
those in Madrid, Barcelona, Paris,

Chile, among others, use
state-of-the-art ticketing systems
developed by the company.
-
There are a lot of countries
that have entrusted us with their
electoral processes; the air defence
network of the Spanish State has
been developed using Indra
technology, and the aircraft
simulators developed by Indra have
been described as the best in the
world by their users.
-
Some of the most important
companies on the market have trusted
in Indra for their processes of
systems development, integration and
consulting, as well as for
outsourcing.

In September 2006, Indra has made
effective the acquisition of Azertia
Azertia, multinational information
