GOP Texas Convention The final report from the Rules Committee and Platform Committee is printed and distributed to all of the convention Delegates Friday morning. During the second General Session the rules and platform were debated and some amendments were made. No changes were made to the Trans-Texas Corridor plank in the Platform. The Platform was officially adopted. The plank reads, "Trans-Texas Corridor — Because there are issues of confiscation of private and, State and National sovereignty and other similar concerns, the Party urges the repeal of HB 3588 authorizing the Trans-Texas Corridor. Further, we urge the removal of all authorization and powers granted the Texas Transportation Commission and the Texas Department of Transportation for the construction and operation of the Trans-Texas Corridor."
