David spotted this neat weathervane atop a telephone pole across the railroad
tracks behind Weimar City Hall. Windsocks and weathervanes are handy
things to have along railroad tracks should there ever be a derail or chemical

Brenham
Sunday night David and Linda drove to Brenham to
pick-up Karen who would arrive by bus. It was raining, 40F, and windy. (01.18.04)

Although closed late Sunday night, it does have a
snack bar for the travelers who often stop here between Houston and Austin. We
chose instead to take Karen to Applebee's in Brenham where we ran into David's
parents, Dorothy and Hal. (01.18.04)
