Columbus
In March 2003 David spotted this discarded cistern behind
a vacant house. This evening, September 3, 2003, David stopped and
visited with the owner who had just flown in from New Mexico only hours

It took four men to slide the cistern up into the truck
bed. Apparently the bottom holds several inches of tar that adds a
couple hundred pounds to the weight of the cistern.

Although there are a couple punctures in the tank, there
is no rust or serious damage.

The tank is 59-inches tall and 45-inches in diameter,
making this a 400 gallon tank.
