Country Place Hotel
Fayetteville area residents and Austin architect &
designer Clovis and Maryann Heimsath are just finishing a huge renovation
of their 100 year old building that once served as their office, a
restaurant and hotel. David stayed in this hotel on New Years Eve,
circa 1978.

Clovis shows Linda a mechanical drawing of the lift elevator against the
brick wall. The drawing will be framed and displayed near the
elevator. A worker paints one of the doors that lead to a garden
courtyard. Other doors (left) allow entry from the street.

While the elevator is no longer functional, it has been
preserved as a special feature of this historic building. A glass
window has been provided so that we can see the counterbalance weights
inside the wall.

Almost all of the guestrooms have a 'window' mural painted
on the wall depicting the place name of the room. This is Lone Oak.
