With the new framing in place it was time to remove and reset the window and door frame. (03.14.03) |

A double bottom plate is required to provide a
nailer for 8-foot sheet goods. Also the door frame is blocked in. The
window can be seen out on the porch. (03.14.03) |

Since the new studs aren't really 2x4 like the old
studs, the 1/2-inch difference between the door and the window is made up with
1/2-inch plywood. (03.14.03) |

The window was reinstalled, this time plumb.
No work was done on the window itself. Repairs to the glass frames will
