The Tower of the Americas was built for the Texas' World's Fair in 1968. The 750-foot tower (to top of antenna) was the theme structure for the HemisFair. It is one of the tallest freestanding structures in North and South America.. It is 87-feet taller than the Seattle Space Needle.  David's class was conducted adjacent to the tower.  (01.08.03)

Last November painted cows started decorating the streets of San Antonio in what they call CowParade.  The orignial CowParade started in Zurich, Switzerland in 1998.  Other CowParades have included New York City and Chicago. This cow is titled, Miss Fiesta Bones, Bovine by artist Nancy Graham.  (01.08.03)
