David held a press conference to explain how the fire started on this stove and rapidly spread through the apartment complex.  The press conference was attended by five television crews and numerous radio and newspaper reporters.  (02.21.95)

The fourth floor in this photograph is completely destroyed.  You can see sheets tied together over the rail of the third story balcony.  Many residents jumped from these upper floors.  Railings also gave way as escaping residents climbed over them or down sheets tied to them.

This fire resulted in numerous lawsuits between more than five dozen plaintiffs.  Because the City had taken proper action throughout the course of events, no legal action was brought against the City of Nassau Bay.  (02.22.95)
