BigRed™ - Fayetteville, TX - April 17, 2003
This is the electric throttle solenoid.
The engine's idle speed is 650 RPM. When this solenoid is
activated the engine speeds up to full throttle, 4,600 RPM. Even
though the engine has been converted to propane, the throttle solenoid
is original equipment.
The purpose of the Throttle
Solenoid is to move the Engine Carburetor Throttle Valve to the wide
open position when supplied a Battery feed by the Throttle Relay "G" and
to allow its return to Idle position when the Throttle Relay "G" opens
the Circuit. This action is instantaneous and allows for exact timing of
the 8 second "ON" and 4 second "OFF" warning cycle operation. |
