This siren was originally owned and operated by Los Angeles County, California at Hansen Dam.  At some point while owned by the county, the engine was converted to burn propane gas.  The gray box seen above on the front of the engine cowling is part of the electric-propane carburetor controls.  This siren was sold March 4, 2003 on eBay®.  After many years of sitting  idle the new owner got this siren started and running less than a month later on April 2, 2003.  On April 10, 2003, this siren was acquired by David Stall.
