ORDERING PARTS
The exploded views shown are intended to enable the
operator to better understand the general construction of CHRYSLER V-8
INDUSTRIAL ENGINES, and to assist in ordering parts.
The views are helpful in determining the sequence of
assembly and function of the various parts; therefore, they will be of
considerable assistance when making adjustments or repairs.
Important
Orders for parts should be placed with the nearest
Authorized Dealer. Authorized Dealers are in possession of complete
parts information and can, in most instances, promptly supply your parts
requirements from their inventory. If you do not know the location of
your nearest Chrysler Industrial Engine Dealer, a card addressed to the
Chrysler Industrial Engine Division, 2000 Van Horn Rd., Trenton,
Michigan, will bring you his name and address promptly.
Most important in ordering parts is the proper
identification of the engine. Always mention the Model, Type and
Serial Number. (Sample: Model Ind. 56, type 373, Serial Number 1273.)
This information is stamped on the identification plate (Fig. 1) and
should be mentioned in all parts order or communications. The number
stamped on the front end of the cylinder block just back of the water
pump is a manufacturing code and should not be used for the
purpose of identification.
