The Siren is manufactured and built to standard
specifications and thoroughly tested. All possible precautions are taken
in making the Siren ready for shipment, therefore, it is important that
suitable and adequate equipment is used in unloading it at destination.
The Siren when reaching destination should be thoroughly
inspected far damage and any irregularities should be reported to the
carrier.
The inspection sheet as shown on page 7 is a sample
report covering information that is vital to the operation of this
Siren. Data of this nature should be compiled daily.
Various municipalities consider it desirable to
operate a series of Sirens from a main control. In such instances, any
special devices installed should receive the same daily inspection and
care as applies to the unit in general.
