Perry names Andrade interim transportation chairman Jan. 28, 2008 The Associated Press AUSTIN — Gov. Rick Perry has named Esperanza "Hope" Andrade of San Antonio the interim chair of the Texas Transportation Commission. Perry made the announcement Monday. Andrade has served on the commission since 2003. She was previously appointed by Perry to the Texas Turnpike Commission, which was merged into the Texas Department of Transportation. She succeeds the late Ric Williamson as chairman of the commission. He died Dec. 30 of a heart attack at age 55.
