Martin Jurecka (abt 36) and his family immigrated to the United States from Moravia in 1889. Prior to purchasing land near Fayetteville they were share croppers for a German family near Lone Oak. As a result, Joe Jurecka became fluent in German in addition to Czech and English.
Martin Jurecka (abt 55) and his wife Veronika Jurecka (abt 47) purchased the site of the Jurecka farm on December 26, 1908. The land was purchased from Joseph Koel, H. G. Cook, and Albert Burrow. It is speculated that the present house was built in 1910.
On November 4, 1933 the land owned by Martin and Veronika Jurecka transferred to brothers Joseph "Joe" (abt 51) and Paul Jurecka (abt 46). Twenty-five days later the brothers divided the property and Joe Jurecka and his wife Johanna Jurecka (abt 51) received title to the land that included farmhouse on November 29, 1933.
On July 24, 1970 the farmhouse land was transferred by Joe and Johanna Jurecka to their son Jerome Jurecka (abt 54) and his wife Jennie Svreck Jurecka. Jerome and Jennie had no children. Jerome was the last Jurecka that lived in the Jurecka farmhouse.
Upon the death of Jerome Jurecka the farmhouse was inherited by Bohus John "Bob" Jurecka.
