| A section of framing is assembled in the family room. This will be the new bathroom doorway. (09.03.01) | |
| And yes, it fit perfectly! Note that we added a transom window over the door. This will provide some natural light for the hallway even when the door is closed. The green door was at the hallway end of the closet. In this picture it's just leaning against the wall, but it is where the bathroom door will stand when installed and open. (09.03.01) | |
| Next, a closet floor. David installs stringers between floor joists to provide framework for a trap door. Later he would be underneath guiding the precut floor sheeting into place while Linda taps it with a hammer from above. (09.03.01) | |
| The closet is ready for the floor. After the floor is finished a new wall will be placed at this end of the closet where the floor materials change. This wall will create a 12-inch deep nook at the end of the hall where shelving will be placed. (09.03.01) | |
