Several layers of wall coverings can be seen in this picture. A section of
wall in the corner was covered by cabinets leaving the used lumber paint visible
(pink, blue & green). Three layers of wallpaper covered the walls that
were first painted a mustard yellow. The lower half had it's painted wall
covered by a green asphalt 'tile' sheeting. All of these were covered with
wood paneling. (05.28.01) |

The ivy wallpaper was hung around a medicine chest between the window and
door. The same chest was mounted in the same place on the wood paneling.
Under this wallpaper there was another layer of paper glued to cloth that
was tacked to the wall. Under all the wallpaper an outline of the same
medicine chest could be seen on the original mustard yellow paint.
