In March 2003 David spotted this discarded cistern behind a vacant house.  This evening, September 3, 2003, David stopped and visited with the owner who had just flown in from New Mexico only hours earlier.  Fifteen minutes later David had purchased the cistern.  (03.18.03)

It took four men to slide the cistern up into the truck bed.  Apparently the bottom holds several inches of tar that adds a couple hundred pounds to the weight of the cistern.  (09.03.03)
