Power Plant

David toured a power generating plant.  The panel at the left controls internal power consumption in the plant.  The far panels monitor generation.  Those panels have been upgraded so that the operator seated in the center can monitor and control all of the systems from a single touch screen display.  For security reasons the plant won't be identified.  (02.12.03)

A newer generation unit has a more modern set of consoles.  Not only do these displays monitor systems and processes, they display weather, security and news.  (02.12.03)
