Tarantula Railroad Water splashes as the fireman opens the water tower valve. In 1959 No. 2248 was purchased from the SP by Charles T. Brown who, together with Walt Disney, had planned to build a steam railroad around Griffith Park in Los Angeles. That never happened and the locomotive was sold again in 1974 to the State of Texas and then 1990 to the Tarantula. (10.19.02) [Olympus C-3040] |
