Fort Worth Opening ceremony of the Texas Municipal League Conference. The speaker shown here is Jim Wright, Former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives and Congressman for the 12th District of Texas for thirty-four years. More significant is that Jim had been the Mayor of Weatherford, Texas, and in 1952 he was the president of the Texas Municipal League back when it was the Texas League of Cities.
