Selective Service System

David has been appointed as a Local Board Member of the Selective Service System.  The Certificate of Appointment arrived today.  It reads, "To all who shall see these presents, greeting: Know Ye, that because of demonstrated patriotism, fidelity, and abilities, David K. Stall has been appointed to the position of Local Board Member for the state of Texas, and is hereby authorized and empowered to execute and fulfill the duties of that office and to do and perform all manner of things thereunto belonging according to the laws of the United States and the rules and regulations prescribed thereunder by the President or by his direction, and to have and to hold the said office during the pleasure of the President.  Given under my hand at the City of Arlington, this 9th day of April, in the year of our Lord, two thousand two, and in the 226th year of the Independence of the United States."  (05.23.02)

Selective Service System

Here's David's identification card.  Appointees serve at the pleasure of the President with a maximum term of twenty years. 

David will be going to San Antonio for board training the first of June.

Rain Creek Farm

This big guy was easily spotted crossing FM-955 in front of Rain Creek Farm this afternoon.  The Tarantula measured about four-inches across as seen in this photo.  Fast too!   (05.23.02)
